The Caxton Foundation Thursday 24th November 2011
The Caxton Foundation is a new charity established by the UK Government to provide financial assistance to individuals who have received one or more ex gratia payments from the Skipton Fund and are not also eligible to apply for discretionary support through the Macfarlane or Eileen Trusts. The Foundation is funded by the Department of Health and is available to all across the United Kingdom who are eligible.

The latest news on:
- Second stage payment increased to £50,000. Those who have already received the £25,000 second stage payment are entitled to receive the £25,000 balance;
- The addition of B cell non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma to the second stage qualifying criteria;
- Regular payment of £13,200 per annum for living second stage recipients;
- Applications on behalf of the estates of people who were infected and died before 29 August 2003;
- New Discretionary Trust to support recipients of one or both Skipton Fund ex gratia payments;
- Annual Prescription Pre-payment Certificate in England for those who are not otherwise exempt from prescription charges.
